Created to Create
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which He prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
— Ephesians 2:10, NKJV
Look at that same scripture in The Passion Translation: “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”
Think about those words. They should stir our hearts to do everything He has planned for us, with excellence, because we are joined to Him. The New Living Translation calls us God’s masterpiece. Each of us is a treasure to Him, irreplaceable, uniquely created. We get to work with the Creator of the Universe to fulfill our destiny, and if that includes writing, we want to give Him nothing less than our best.
No matter how much experience we have, the Writers’ Conference is a perfect opportunity to improve and learn, along with building relationships and having fun. What more could we want?
